Consultant Surgeon in Trauma & orthopaedics with a special interest in hip bone treatments.

Dr Sabri is a British-based trauma & orthopaedic consultant surgeon. He completed his primary education in Egypt and continued his surgical training in Orthopaedics in England between 2001 – 2008. He later moved to New York City to gain a mini-fellowship in 2008 where he worked as an acting consultant and undertook several hip and knee arthroplasties (joint replacement) lists at SWLEOC (South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre). He also had the privilege to work with Dr David Helfet, a world-renowned name in Trauma and Pelvic Surgery.
He gained his higher surgical training in Trauma & Orthopaedics on the Bristol Rotation in 2010 and moved on to get a highly sought-after Trauma Fellowship in Nottingham in 2011.
Dr Sabri was appointed as a Consultant in Trauma & Orthopaedics at Newcastle University Hospitals in April 2012.
He moved to St George’s Hospital in London as a Consultant Surgeon with an interest in Complex Trauma including Pelvic and Acetabular Reconstruction as well as Hip and Knee replacement surgery.
Today, he has over 20 years of experience working in the National Health Service and across the private sector. Currently, he serves as the Head of Department in the Saudi German Hospital Dubai as a Consultant Surgeon in Trauma & Orthopaedics.
Dr Sabri specializes in orthopaedic surgery in Dubai like advanced reconstruction procedures, including replacements, robotic-assisted surgery, minimally invasive pelvic surgery, arthroscopic knee surgery, complex polytrauma, and pelvic reconstruction. He is one of the few MAKO-trained (Robotic-Arm Assisted Makoplasty) surgeons for lower limb reconstruction including for bone and joint infection cases.
He is your modern-day, tech-savvy Orthopaedic doctor in Dubai with a special interest in Robot-Assisted Surgeries, VR Training, and Healthcare Innovation. He was nominated for the Royal College of Surgeons Award for Innovation in Surgical Education for the introduction of ‘Virtual Reality Training into Orthopaedic Training’ in South West London. Academic Contributions
Dr Sabri was first appointed as an Associate Lecturer and Examiner at Newcastle University where he would continue with his passion for medical education.
Dr Sabri is an undergraduate teacher at St George’s Medical School. He is also an Honorary Lecturer at the University of London.
He runs a highly competitive Pelvic and Acetabular Reconstruction Fellowship revered by national and international fellows.
He is a clinical supervisor for orthopaedic registrars on the South West London rotation. He delivers a yearly cadaveric session on approaches to hip and pelvis surgeries.
He has written the chapter on Management of Pelvic and Limb Trauma in the latest edition of the Oxford Textbook of Critical Care.
Dr Sabri is a reviewer for the Bone & Joint Journal and has several publications in his specialist areas in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr Sabri has a particular interest in Healthtech and has performed several Robotic-assisted hip and knee replacements using MAKO and NAVIO robots.
He is also a Global Medical Panelist and Key Opinion Leader for one of the world-leading Medical Virtual Reality companies – Fundamental VR, where he helps build simulations in Virtual Reality to teach and train surgeons.
